妄念

弟子:打坐时应如何处理妄念?

和尚:打坐时,数息数了一段时间后,心平静了,也清澈多了,然后就保持觉知把心安住在那裡,不用再数了。不数息,心也许会平静一小段时间,可是妄念又会再回来。这时,还是让心保持平静清澈,不要受妄念的影响。这是非常重要的。妄念回来的那刹那,亦即,我们又面对着惯性的思想模式。要是心的清澈不在了,又开始想事情,我们已经失去觉性,于是又会跟着惯性的思想模式走。
所以,察觉妄念,面对妄念,又不受妄念的影响,是非常重要的。要是清澈的心受了妄念的影响,我们便是失去觉性,也无法当自己心的主人。

    December 21, 2012I find this very insightful. I was wondering what your thoughts are on homework. My own feeling is that the current homework system is extremely prltbemaoic, but I would be interested in hearing what you think.
